Our mission at Waymark Capital Partners is to syndicate multifamily real estate across select Midwest, Southwest, and Southeast markets. We specialize in rejuvenating underperforming Class B & C assets located in demographically stable areas. Through a strategic value-add approach, we aim to optimize cash flow and maximize returns, reshaping properties to achieve their full potential.
Every syndication should be backed by a team of operators who have completed the life-cycle of real-estate, and are investors in every deal.
LEADERSHIP
Jeff Knake | Development
Jeff Knake, our Lead Investment Officer, is a seasoned veteran with over two decades of experience in real estate. Jeff’s unique blend of hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge lead to the creation of a personal multifamily portfolio worth millions.
Jeff specializes in the revitalization of historic multifamily properties, successfully repurposing $80 million in commercial real estate demonstrating proficiency, creativity and a keen eye for market cycles. Jeff combines his vast experience and in-depth market understanding to guide investment strategy, conduct market analysis, manage acquisitions, and oversee asset operations.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science from Drake University and a Master’s in Entrepreneurial Real Estate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2013
Andrew Stah CPA | Tax
With over a decade of experience in public accounting, Andrew, a licensed CPA, acted as lead counsel to multiple real estate ventures, expertly guiding them through the acquisition, retention, and sale of over $100M in property. He was the primary tax advisor assisting multiple private equity groups in $250M of deployed capital.
Andrew's expertise extends to High Net Worth individuals, equipping him with the insight to aid investors in skillfully managing their unique, tax situations. This tax-centric approach ensures that Waymark structures each deal to maximize upfront tax benefits, and deliver long-term value adds for our investors.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Accounting from George Mason University and a Master’s in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California.
Jake Bulgarino | Investments
With more than 15 years C-suite experience, Jake Bulgarino leads Waymark Capital Partners’ acquisition and asset management strategy. He holds Harvard University’s Credential of Readiness in Real Estate Investment & Development and is currently completing a Master of Finance at Harvard.
Before Waymark, Jake co-founded a multi-million-dollar creative-services agency that served Fortune 500 clients—including Delta Air Lines, Amazon, TikTok, and Capital One—bringing extensive c-suite experience to the Waymark team.
Passionate about value-add multifamily, Jake pairs data-driven underwriting with design-led repositioning to unlock value and advance Waymark’s mandate to deliver attractive, risk-adjusted returns for investors while elevating the communities and submarkets we serve.
Dr. Larry Burchett | Relations
Dr Larry Burchett MD is both physician and investor, pursuing lifelong goals of financial freedom and serving those most in need. From Kansas City, he went to Notre Dame for undergrad and KU Med for medical school, where he bought his first house, and the dreams of Waymark were planted, with Jeff one of his first roommates.
Actively practicing medicine in small town California emergency rooms, he’s been able to serve in Haiti, Africa and Alaska, while also building a real estate portfolio across KC, MO and California. He believes in using what he’s been given to make a difference, and looks forward to doing so as a part of Waymark Capital.
